PUBLIC HEARING
Please take notice the Town of Princetown Town Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 165 Princetown Plaza, Schenectady, New York, to gather public comment on a proposal to increase the Town's 2009 Water District Budget. Unexpected repairs of the hydrant and water line along the creek on Rt. #7, due to excessive flooding during summer months, has created a short fall in the repairs line in the current 2009 budget. The Town Board finds it necessary to increase the 2009 Water budget by the $15,000. The Water Fund balance (909.12) will decrease by $15,000 and the Water repair line (83404.12) will increase by $15,000.
BY ORDER OF THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF PRINCETOWN
CAROL McCLAINE
Town Clerk
Discussion: Open @ 7:03 pm.
•· N. Miller asked Superintendent Mead to explain the extent of needed repairs. G. Mead explained that due to excessive flooding in the spring and summer, along with the failure of Bonnet Bolts on valves, repairs for 2009 have exceeded the dollar amount allotted in the repairs line.
•· M. Reed asked if this increase in the repair line will increase water rates to residents. Supervisor Maura indicated this is a transfer of money already in a fund set aside for non-budgeted expenses.
Closed @ 7:06 pm.
